Ingredients
- 175g Plain Flour (1 cup, 3 tablespoons)
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 150g Sugar (¾ cup)
- 3 Eggs
- 150g Butter (⅔ cup)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 75g Brown sugar (¼ cup, 2 tablespoons)
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon powder
- 1 tablespoon Cocoa powder
- 55g Melted Butter (¼ cup)
- Flaked Almonds (optional)
- Baking pan 20x20 cm (8x8 inch)
Method
- Mix well together plain flour, baking powder, sugar, eggs, butter, and vanilla extract.
- Whisk the mixture for 30 seconds.
- Give the mixture a mix and whisk again for another 30 seconds.
- Set the batter aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix together brown sugar, cinnamon powder, cocoa powder, and melted butter.
- Add ⅓ of the vanilla batter into the cinnamon batter and mix well.
- Pour the vanilla batter into the baking pan first.
- Place dollops of the cinnamon batter on top and create a little swirl.
- Optional: Add flaked almonds on top.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for 35-40 minutes.
