  • 50 g dark chocolate, finely chopped
  • 2/3 cup whole milk
  • 2 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream

Method

7 steps
  1. Add 2/3 cup of whole milk to a saucepan.
  2. Add 2 1/2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder, 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon of allspice, and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla to the milk.
  3. Turn the heat to medium high and whisk until the powders are incorporated and the milk has started to gently bubble.
  4. Pour in 2/3 cup of heavy cream and whisk to combine.
  5. Add the chopped chocolate and turn off the heat.
  6. Whisk until the chocolate has completely melted.
  7. Serve immediately with marshmallows or whipped cream.
