  • 6 cups whole milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups double cream
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method

10 steps
  1. Pour 6 cups of full cream milk into the crock-pot.
  2. Add 14 ounces of sweetened condensed milk to the crock-pot.
  3. Add 1 1/2 cups of thickened cream or whipping cream or double cream.
  4. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
  5. Add 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  6. Mix everything well until combined, ensuring the chocolate chips are evenly distributed.
  7. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
  8. Stir well after 45 minutes and continue cooking for another 1 hour 15 minutes, stirring every 30 minutes.
  9. Once thickened and the chocolate is melted, turn the heat to low to keep warm.
  10. Serve with a ladle, cautioning that the hot chocolate will be very hot.
