Ingredients
- 3 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 medium lemon (zested and juiced)
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 6 tablespoons salted butter (cut into slices)
- 1 medium lemon (sliced (optional))
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley ((optional))
Method
- Place the chicken thighs in the bottom of a 5 to 6-quart slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix paprika, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Sprinkle evenly over the chicken.
- Add lemon juice to the slow cooker, then sprinkle lemon zest and minced garlic on top of the chicken.
- Dot the chicken with butter slices.
- Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours, or high for 3 hours, until the chicken reaches 172°F.
- Garnish with lemon slices and chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot, drizzled with the juices.
