NYC Cookie Recipe | The Best New York Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

• 100g walnuts (without skins)
• 400g milk chocolate chips
• 230g cold butter, cubed
• 160g caster sugar
• 160g soft light brown sugar
• 200g self-raising flour
• 300g plain flour
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 2 large eggs

Method

1. Cream the butter and sugars together.
2. Add the eggs and mix well.
3. Combine the flours, salt, bicarbonate of soda, and baking powder.
4. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
6. Shape the dough into cookies and place on a baking sheet.
7. Bake until golden and crispy on the outside, soft inside.
