- 2 cups milk
- ¾ cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
- 1 orange, zest + juice of 1/2
- 1 ½ cups dark chocolate, in pieces
Method
5 steps- Add the milk and heavy cream to a medium-sized saucepan, and simmer over medium heat until hot.
- Using a whisk, add the dark brown sugar, orange juice, and chocolate.
- Whisk well until the chocolate has melted and the hot chocolate is creamy and smooth.
- Remove from the heat, and serve the hot chocolate warm in small cups.
- Top with whipped cream, orange zest, and chocolate shavings.
