  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup

Method

  1. Remove the stem of each apple and insert a popsicle stick or cookie stick into the top of each apple.
  2. In a pot, mix 2 cups sugar, 3/4 cup water, and 1/2 cup corn syrup until combined.
  3. Add black food coloring to the mixture and stir until incorporated.
  4. Place the mixture on the stove and boil until it reaches 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
  5. Carefully dip each apple into the hot sugar mixture.
  6. Let the candy apples sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.
