  • 1 litre chilled ginger ale
  • 750 ml chilled pineapple juice
  • 250 ml chilled white grape juice
  • 60 ml freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 500 ml lime sherbet
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced
  • Ice cubes, for serving

Method

5 steps
  1. Chill the ginger ale, pineapple juice and white grape juice before preparing the punch.
  2. Pour the pineapple juice, white grape juice and lime juice into a large food-safe punch bowl or pitcher and stir to combine.
  3. Just before serving, slowly add the chilled ginger ale and stir gently to preserve the bubbles.
  4. Add scoops of lime sherbet to the surface of the punch and garnish with lime slices.
  5. Serve immediately over ice in individual glasses. Replenish with chilled ginger ale as needed.

Recipe notes

Helpful tips

  • Add the ginger ale just before serving to keep the punch fizzy.
  • Use a food-safe punch bowl; do not put dry ice directly into drinks or glasses.
  • Keep the ingredients chilled until serving.

Equipment

  • Large punch bowl
  • Ladle
  • Measuring jug
  • Knife

Storage

Refrigerate the juice mixture for up to 24 hours. Add ginger ale and sherbet only when ready to serve.

Additional tips

  • Contains dairy if using conventional lime sherbet. Do not add dry ice to drinks or allow anyone to ingest dry ice.
