Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) chicken wings
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 garlic clove, crushed or finely minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon olive oil or cooking spray, for the basket
Method
- Pat the chicken wings thoroughly dry with paper towels.
- Place the wings in a bowl and add the black pepper, paprika, salt, garlic and 1 tablespoon olive oil.
- Toss until evenly coated, then cover and refrigerate for 1–2 hours.
- Combine the barbecue sauce and honey in a small bowl.
- Lightly spray or brush the air-fryer basket with oil.
- Arrange the marinated wings in the basket in a single layer.
- Air fry at 355°F (180°C) for 18 minutes, flipping the wings after 10 minutes.
- Brush one side of the wings with the honey barbecue sauce and air fry for 2 minutes.
- Flip the wings, brush the other side with sauce and cook for 1 minute.
- Brush the wings once more and air fry for another 2 minutes, or until glazed and cooked to at least 165°F (74°C).
