  • 1 lb (450 g) chicken wings
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed or finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or cooking spray, for the basket

Method

10 steps
  1. Pat the chicken wings thoroughly dry with paper towels.
  2. Place the wings in a bowl and add the black pepper, paprika, salt, garlic and 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  3. Toss until evenly coated, then cover and refrigerate for 1–2 hours.
  4. Combine the barbecue sauce and honey in a small bowl.
  5. Lightly spray or brush the air-fryer basket with oil.
  6. Arrange the marinated wings in the basket in a single layer.
  7. Air fry at 355°F (180°C) for 18 minutes, flipping the wings after 10 minutes.
  8. Brush one side of the wings with the honey barbecue sauce and air fry for 2 minutes.
  9. Flip the wings, brush the other side with sauce and cook for 1 minute.
  10. Brush the wings once more and air fry for another 2 minutes, or until glazed and cooked to at least 165°F (74°C).
