- 450g / 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 440g / 2 cups marinara sauce
- 475 ml / 2 cups beef broth or water
- 1 green bell pepper
- 411g / 14.5 ounces canned diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 bay leaf
- 220 g / 8 oz noodles (uncooked)
- Parmesan (optional)
- Parsley (optional)
- Salt and Black pepper to taste
Method
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet.
- Add chopped onion and garlic; sauté until softened.
- Stir in marinara sauce, beef broth or water, green bell pepper, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and bay leaf.
- Bring to a simmer.
- Add uncooked noodles, stirring to combine.
- Cover and cook until noodles are tender.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve with optional Parmesan and parsley.
