  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • about 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 stick melted butter
  • apple slices (quantity not specified)

Method

  1. Add a cup of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, a pinch of salt, and 1 tablespoon of flour to a bowl and stir together.
  2. Sprinkle this mixture over the apple slices in the buttered 9x13 dish.
  3. Sprinkle about 1/2 cup of water over the apples and cinnamon sugar mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup flour, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup quick oats, a pinch of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda.
  5. Add half a stick of melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until it forms a moist, crumbly mixture.
  6. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the apples using fingers to spread it out.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 43 to 44 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
