Banana Chocolate Caramel Cake

Ingredients

• 180g sugar (for the batter)
• 200g butter
• 4-5 eggs
• a pinch of salt
• 130g milk
• 100ml milk (for soaking)
• 250g flour
• 50g cocoa
• 12g baking powder
• 600g mascarpone
• 70g powdered sugar
• 200ml cream 33%
• vanilla extract to taste
• 1-2 bananas (for the cream)
• 300g sugar (for caramel)
• 100ml water (for caramel)
• 150ml cream 33% (for caramel)
• 50g butter (for caramel)
• 1 banana (for decoration)
• 50g pecans

Method

1. Mix sugar, butter, eggs, salt, milk, flour, cocoa, and baking powder into a chocolate sponge batter.
2. Bake the batter and then soak it with 100ml milk.
3. Heat sugar and water for the caramel until golden brown.
4. Add cream and butter to the caramel and stir.
5. Whip mascarpone, powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla extract into a fluffy cream.
6. Slice bananas and fold them into the cream.
7. Spread the soaked sponge with the banana mascarpone cream.
8. Coat the cake with caramel sauce.
9. Decorate with banana slices and pecans.
