  • 1 cup (200 g) dry red lentils
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) fresh water
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Onion powder to taste
  • Paprika to taste
  • Turmeric to taste
  • 1-2 Tbsp oil

Method

6 steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine lentils, water, garlic, salt, onion powder, paprika, and turmeric.
  3. Bake the mixture for 20 minutes.
  4. Cut the baked mixture into squares.
  5. Drizzle the squares with oil.
  6. Bake for another 10 minutes or until crispy.

Recipe notes

Helpful tips

  • Soak the red lentils for at least 2 hours before blending.
  • Cut the partially baked sheet into crackers before the final bake.
  • Allow the crackers to cool completely before storing so trapped steam does not soften them.
  • Re-crisp softened crackers briefly in the oven or air fryer.

Storage
