  • medium apples (thinly sliced)
  • butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 packet baking powder (10g)
  • 3-3.5 cups all-purpose flour (add gradually)

Method

    Add sugar to a pan and stir until lightly melted.

    Arrange the sliced apples in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until they soak up the caramel.

    Whisk the eggs and sugar together until frothy.

    Sift in the flour and baking powder into the egg mixture and mix.

    Pour the cake batter over the caramelized apples in the pan or transfer to a baking mold, ensuring apples are completely covered.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for about 40-50 minutes.

    Let the cake rest for 5 minutes after baking.
