- 1 packet baking powder (10g)
- 3-3.5 cups all-purpose flour (add gradually)
Method
- Add sugar to a pan and stir until lightly melted.
- Arrange the sliced apples in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until they soak up the caramel.
- Whisk the eggs and sugar together until frothy.
- Sift in the flour and baking powder into the egg mixture and mix.
- Pour the cake batter over the caramelized apples in the pan or transfer to a baking mold, ensuring apples are completely covered.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for about 40-50 minutes.
- Let the cake rest for 5 minutes after baking.
- Carefully flip the cake onto a serving plate so the caramelized apples stay on top.
