Key ingredients
Oreo cookies, ounces cream cheese, ounces orange melting wafers, small pretzel sticks, green M&M's.
Ingredients
- 36 Oreo cookies (regular stuffed, filling included)
- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened at room temp)
- 8 ounces orange melting wafers
- 5 small pretzel sticks (each halved for a total of 10 sticks)
- 10 green M&M's
- 10 ounces white melting wafers (divided into 8 ounces and 2 ounces)
- 20 small candy eyeballs
- 8 ounces chocolate melting wafers
- assorted Halloween sprinkles (in orange, green, purple, and white)
Method
- Process the Oreos, including their filling, into crumbs. Blend in softened cream cheese until a dough forms.
- Scoop 30 tablespoon-sized portions onto a lined tray. Freeze for 10 minutes, roll smooth, then chill again until firm.
- Divide the balls into three groups of 10.
- For the pumpkins, melt the orange wafers in short microwave bursts, stirring between each. Dip 10 balls, drain off excess coating and place on parchment. Add a pretzel stem and green M&M to each.
- For the mummies, melt 8 ounces of white wafers and dip 10 balls. Melt the remaining 2 ounces and pipe across the tops as bandages, adding two candy eyes to each.
- Melt the chocolate wafers and coat the final 10 balls. Decorate with Halloween sprinkles before the coating sets.
- Let all coatings set and refrigerate until serving.
