- 4-6 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
- 1-1.5 cups grated Dubliner or Cheddar cheese
- 2-3 tbsp salted butter
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh or dry parsley
Method
- Butter a thick-based oven-safe baking dish.
- Layer sliced potatoes overlapping at the bottom.
- Add a thick layer of sliced onions.
- Add a layer of grated cheese.
- Repeat layering potatoes, onions, and cheese.
- Sprinkle chopped parsley on top.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 45-50 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
