Korean Spicy Ramen Noodles

Ingredients

  • 1 packet instant ramen noodles
  • 1 tsp chicken stock powder
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper paste (optional)
  • 1 fried egg (for topping)
  • green onions (for topping)
  • sesame seeds (for topping)

Method

  1. Boil water for noodles.
  2. Mix chicken stock powder, red pepper flakes, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar, oil, and red pepper paste to make seasoning sauce.
  3. Cook ramen noodles in boiling water until 80% done.
  4. Drain most water, leaving 2-3 tbsp in pan.
  5. On low flame, mix seasoning sauce into noodles thoroughly.
  6. Add 1-2 tbsp water if noodles become too dry and continue mixing.
  7. Fry an egg with oil in the same pan.
  8. Serve noodles in a bowl and top with fried egg, green onions, and sesame seeds.
