Monkey Bread
My homemade monkey bread has tender dough rolled into balls with lots of gooey brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter baked in a bundt pan to create a delicious pull apart bread.

- 3 (16.3-ounce) package refrigerated buttermilk biscuit dough
- 1 cup granulated sugar ((200g))
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup unsalted butter ((226g))
- ¾ cup packed light brown sugar ((165g))
Method
- Prepare the dough by combining 4 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, yeast, and salt in a stand mixer.
- Make a well in the dry ingredients and add in whisked eggs, melted butter, and warm milk (110°F).
- Mix with a dough hook on low, then medium low for about 15 minutes until the dough is sticky but not coming off on your finger.
- Transfer dough into an oiled bowl, cover with plastic, and let it rise for about 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough, then tear into small pieces, roll each into a ball, and coat in cinnamon sugar.
- Layer the coated dough balls in a greased bundt pan, dot with small pieces of butter between layers.
- Let the layered dough rise for 15-20 minutes.
- Make the brown sugar butter topping by melting 1/2 cup butter with 2/3 cup packed brown sugar over medium low heat until simmering.
- Pour the brown sugar butter mixture over the layered dough in the bundt pan.
- Bake at 350°F for about 35 minutes until golden brown and firm to the touch.
- Invert the baked monkey bread onto a cake plate and serve.
