  • 1 shallot
  • 1 garlic clove
  • oil
  • butter
  • 150g cooked ham or gammon
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 150ml white wine
  • 200g orzo pasta
  • 1 stock cube
  • 50g Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp creme fraiche
  • 100g frozen peas, defrosted
  • 1 lemon, juice only
  • handful watercress

    Chop shallot and garlic.

    Sweat shallot and garlic in oil and butter.

    Dice cooked ham and add to pan.

    Season with salt and pepper.

    Add white wine and reduce.

    Add orzo pasta and stock cube, stir well.

    Cook for 7-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
