  • 6-12 small sausages (e.g., chipolatas)
  • 6-12 slices of smoked bacon
  • 100 g unsalted butter
  • 1 liter apple juice (concentrate)
  • 50 g sugar (implied for caramel)
  • a pinch of salt

Method

8 steps
  1. Wrap each sausage with a slice of bacon, ensuring the bacon covers the entire sausage.
  2. Place the wrapped sausages on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for approximately 20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the sausages are cooked through.
  4. While the sausages are baking, prepare the apple caramel sauce: pour 1 liter of apple juice into a saucepan and bring to a vigorous boil.
  5. Reduce the apple juice by boiling until it thickens into a syrupy consistency, approximately 200 ml remaining.
  6. Add 50 g of butter to the reduced apple syrup and stir until melted and well combined.
  7. Add a pinch of salt to the caramel sauce.
  8. Once the sausages are cooked, remove from the oven and drizzle the apple caramel sauce over the top.
