Ingredients
- 1 shallot
- 1 garlic clove
- oil
- butter
- 150g cooked ham or gammon
- salt
- pepper
- 150ml white wine
- 200g orzo pasta
- 1 stock cube
- 50g Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp creme fraiche
- 100g frozen peas, defrosted
- 1 lemon, juice only
- handful watercress
Method
- Chop shallot and garlic.
- Sweat shallot and garlic in oil and butter.
- Dice cooked ham and add to pan.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Add white wine and reduce.
- Add orzo pasta and stock cube, stir well.
- Cook for 7-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Grate Parmesan cheese.
- Add Parmesan, creme fraiche, and peas to orzo.
- Stir to combine and warm peas through.
- Squeeze lemon juice over the dish.
- Serve topped with watercress.
