Ingredients
- 1 and 2 lb of ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped tomato
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1 can (2 1/4 oz) of black olives
- 16 oz can of refried beans
- 4 cups shredded cheddar monterey jack cheese blend (divided into two parts)
- 8 oz sour cream
- 1 cup guacamole
- 1 cup salsa
- additional black olives, chopped tomatoes, and chopped green onions for topping
Method
- Brown 1 and 2 lb of ground beef, drain the fat, and allow to cool to room temperature.
- Chop one tomato, green onions, and black olives.
- Mix the chopped tomato, green onions, and olives with the drained ground beef.
- Spread 16 oz of refried beans in the bottom of a 9 by 13-inch serving tray or glass bowl.
- Sprinkle 2 cups of shredded cheese over the refried beans.
- Layer the cooked ground beef over the cheese.
- Spread 8 oz of sour cream over the ground beef.
- Spread 1 cup of guacamole over the sour cream.
- Pour 1 cup of salsa over the guacamole and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining 2 cups of shredded cheese over the salsa.
- Top with black olives, chopped tomatoes, and green onions for garnish.
