Ingredients
- 80 g dates (natural sweetness and softness)
- 30 g rolled oats (the basis for a delicate texture)
- 40 g hazelnuts (a rich nutty taste)
- 14 g unsweetened cocoa powder (for chocolate taste)
- 1 tbsp water (to combine the ingredients)
- 60 g dark chocolate without sugar (for coating)
- 1 tbsp olive or coconut oil (for a smooth texture of the glaze)
- 1 handful roasted hazelnuts (for decoration)
Method
- Pour cold water over the dates and leave for 15 minutes. Then remove the pits.
- Grind the oatmeal in a coffee grinder until it becomes flour.
- Grind the hazelnuts in a coffee grinder as well.
- Beat the soaked dates in a blender until smooth.
- Add cocoa powder and 1 tbsp of water to the date mixture. Mix well.
- Roll small balls and place them in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- Melt the dark chocolate in a water bath.
- Add 1 tbsp of butter and mix.
- Transfer some icing to a piping bag for decorating.
- Chop the roasted hazelnuts with a knife.
- Dip each dessert into the melted chocolate.
- Place on parchment paper and decorate with chocolate lines and nut crumbs.
- Place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes, then decorate and leave for another 5 minutes.
