Ingredients

  • 80 g dates (natural sweetness and softness)
  • 30 g rolled oats (the basis for a delicate texture)
  • 40 g hazelnuts (a rich nutty taste)
  • 14 g unsweetened cocoa powder (for chocolate taste)
  • 1 tbsp water (to combine the ingredients)
  • 60 g dark chocolate without sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tbsp olive or coconut oil (for a smooth texture of the glaze)
  • 1 handful roasted hazelnuts (for decoration)

Method

13 steps
  1. Pour cold water over the dates and leave for 15 minutes. Then remove the pits.
  2. Grind the oatmeal in a coffee grinder until it becomes flour.
  3. Grind the hazelnuts in a coffee grinder as well.
  4. Beat the soaked dates in a blender until smooth.
  5. Add cocoa powder and 1 tbsp of water to the date mixture. Mix well.
  6. Roll small balls and place them in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  7. Melt the dark chocolate in a water bath.
  8. Add 1 tbsp of butter and mix.
  9. Transfer some icing to a piping bag for decorating.
  10. Chop the roasted hazelnuts with a knife.
  11. Dip each dessert into the melted chocolate.
  12. Place on parchment paper and decorate with chocolate lines and nut crumbs.
  13. Place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes, then decorate and leave for another 5 minutes.
