Ingredients

  • 1 lemon
  • 1 small egg
  • 75g hazelnuts
  • 150g butter
  • 50g sugar
  • 1.5-2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 200g flour

Method

    Grate half the lemon skin into a bowl.

    Add the egg to the lemon rasp and set aside.

  3. 3

    Crush hazelnuts into powder.

  4. 4

    Add hazelnuts, butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar to the lemon zest and egg.

    Mix everything together.

    Add flour and crushed hazelnuts to the mixture.

    Mix gently until combined.

    Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.

    Preheat oven to 175°C.

    Divide dough into two blobs and roll out.

    Cut into 16 parts each.

    Shape each part into a crescent moon.

    Bake for 10-12 minutes.

    Let rest for an hour.

    Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
