Ingredients
9 ingredients- 250 g dates (pitted)
- 50 g prunes (pitted)
- 50 g cocoa powder (about 5 tbsp)
- Pinch of salt
- 70 g butter, melted
- 60 g hot water
- 60 g hazelnuts
- 100 g dark chocolate
- 20 g vegetable oil
Method
11 steps- Remove the pits from the dates and prunes if necessary.
- Add the dates, prunes, cocoa powder and salt to a blender or food processor.
- Pour in the melted butter and hot water.
- Blend until the mixture is smooth and holds together.
- Chill or freeze the mixture for 10–15 minutes if it is too soft to shape.
- Roll the mixture into 16 balls, placing one whole hazelnut inside each.
- Melt the dark chocolate in short microwave intervals.
- Stir the vegetable oil and the remaining chopped hazelnuts into the melted chocolate.
- Dip each candy into the chocolate coating.
- Place the coated candies on parchment paper.
- Refrigerate for about 30 minutes, or until completely set.
