Ingredients

6 ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 jar pasta sauce
  • 2 to 3 cups water
  • 1/2 to 1 pound egg noodles
  • 1 cup ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella

Method

7 steps
  1. Brown the ground beef thoroughly in a large deep skillet.
  2. Add the pasta sauce, 2 cups water and the egg noodles.
  3. Cover and simmer until the noodles are tender and have absorbed most of the liquid, adding some of the remaining water if needed.
  4. Stir in the ricotta or cottage cheese.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the top.
  6. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes, until the mozzarella has melted.
  7. Serve hot once the beef is fully cooked and the noodles are tender.
