- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 to 10 lasagna sheets (not oven ready)
- 1 diced shallot
- 2 tbsp seasoned salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- mozzarella and/or provolone cheese shredded or sliced
- parmesan cheese for garnish
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 to 2 diced shallots
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
- cream cheese (ricotta substitute)
- water or beef broth (fill 28 oz can halfway)
- 1 to 2 tbsp seasoned salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp italian seasoning
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)
- fresh oregano (optional)
Method

Heat olive oil in skillet and sauté diced shallots and minced garlic until fragrant.

Add ground beef and cook until browned.

Add crushed tomatoes, cream cheese, water or beef broth, seasoned salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, sugar, italian seasoning, crushed red pepper, and fresh oregano to skillet.

Simmer sauce until slightly thickened.

Add lasagna sheets to skillet, layering them with sauce and cheeses.

Cover and cook on low heat until pasta is tender and cheese is melted.
