- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 small onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tsp Italian herb blend
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
- 3 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 12 oz mini lasagna pasta
- 8 oz low-moisture mozzarella
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Method
- Brown ground beef with chopped onion and garlic in a large pan.
- Add Italian herb blend, salt, and pepper; stir well.
- Pour in beef broth and marinara sauce; bring to a simmer.
- Add lasagna pasta directly into the sauce without pre-boiling.
- Cover and cook until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in heavy cream and half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Sprinkle parmesan and remaining mozzarella on top.
- Cover and cook until cheese melts and sauce thickens.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
