  • 2 chicken eggs
  • 1-2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 500 g ground pork
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 kg potatoes
  • water (enough to cover potatoes)
  • salt to taste
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 large bell pepper
  • 30 g flour
  • 50 g raw mushrooms
  • 30 g butter
  • 400 ml milk
  • black pepper to taste
  • 100 g hard mozzarella cheese

Method

  1. Boil the potatoes in water until tender, then drain.
  2. Grate the carrots finely.
  3. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil and cook ground pork with chopped onion and garlic until browned.
  4. Add salt and paprika to the pork mixture to taste.
  5. Mix grated carrots with the cooked pork.
  6. Add flour to the potato mixture to help bind it.
  7. Layer the cooked pork mixture and grated potatoes in a baking dish.
  8. Slice the bell pepper and mushrooms, then layer on top of the potato and pork mixture.
  9. In a saucepan, melt butter, add flour, and cook for a minute.
  10. Gradually whisk in milk and cook until the sauce thickens.
  11. Season with salt and black pepper.
  12. Pour the béchamel sauce over the layered ingredients.
  13. Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese on top.
  14. Bake in a preheated oven until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
