Method

12 steps
  1. Wash apples by pouring boiling water over them and rub dry with a clean tea towel.
  2. Push a stick into the stalk end of each apple.
  3. Place castor sugar into a saucepan and melt it slowly until it turns a light amber color.
  4. Transfer the melted sugar into a deep bowl suitable for dunking apples.
  5. Line a tray with greaseproof paper.
  6. Dip each apple into the caramel, tilt the bowl to coat, then lift and let excess drip off.
  7. Place the coated apples onto the prepared tray and allow to set.
  8. Melt milk and white chocolate over a pan of simmering water in a heatproof bowl, ensuring the bowl does not touch the water.
  9. Dip apples into melted chocolate or spoon chocolate over them.
  10. Decorate with toppings such as sprinkles, chopped hazelnuts, or ground Oreo biscuits.
  11. Place decorated apples in the fridge to set.
  12. Optional: Use a piping bag to drizzle additional melted chocolate over the apples for decoration.
