- melted butter
- cocoa powder

- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- flour
- salt

- 2 ramekins
- Microwave-safe bowl
- Mixing bowls

Method
- Brush your ramekins with melted butter.
- Dust the ramekins with cocoa powder and tap out the excess.
- Microwave chocolate and butter on medium heat, stirring gently until smooth, then set aside to cool.
- In another bowl, add one egg, one egg yolk, and icing sugar, then whisk until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the cooled chocolate and butter mixture until combined.
- Add flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then fold these in.
- Divide the mixture between two prepared ramekins.
- Place the ramekins in the air fryer and cook for about 13 minutes until the tops spring back when lightly pressed.
- Leave the cakes to cool for about 10 minutes.
- Optionally, flip the cakes out of the ramekins if coated well, or serve directly in the ramekins.
Helpful tips
- Butter and cocoa-dust the ramekins thoroughly if you plan to turn the cakes out.
- Allow the melted chocolate mixture to cool slightly before combining it with the eggs.
- The cakes are ready when the tops spring back lightly while the centres remain soft.
