10 ingredients- 1 tsp unsalted butter, melted, for greasing
- 2 tsp cocoa powder, for dusting the ramekins
- 50 g semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
- 50 g unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 medium egg
- 1 medium egg yolk
- 50 g icing sugar
- 30 g plain flour
- 10 g cocoa powder
- Pinch of salt
Method
10 steps- Brush your ramekins with melted butter.
- Dust the ramekins with cocoa powder and tap out the excess.
- Microwave chocolate and butter on medium heat, stirring gently until smooth, then set aside to cool.
- In another bowl, add one egg, one egg yolk, and icing sugar, then whisk until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the cooled chocolate and butter mixture until combined.
- Add flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then fold these in.
- Divide the mixture between two prepared ramekins.
- Place the ramekins in the air fryer and cook for about 13 minutes until the tops spring back when lightly pressed.
- Leave the cakes to cool for about 10 minutes.
- Optionally, flip the cakes out of the ramekins if coated well, or serve directly in the ramekins.

Helpful tips
- Butter and cocoa-dust the ramekins thoroughly.
- Cool the melted chocolate mixture slightly before adding it to the eggs.
- Cook until the tops spring back lightly while the centres remain soft.
- Rest for about 10 minutes before turning out.
