13 ingredients- 1 1/2 to 2 lb ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 medium white onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) corn kernels, drained
- 1 can (14.5 oz) green beans, drained
- 32 oz frozen tater tots
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Method
10 steps- Cook the ground beef with salt and pepper in a large saucepan over medium-high heat for 6 to 8 minutes, until browned.
- Add the onion and sauté for about 5 minutes, until soft and translucent.
- Add the butter and allow it to melt.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Gradually add the beef broth, milk and Worcestershire sauce while stirring.
- Bring to a simmer, add the drained corn and green beans and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until thickened.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F or 175°C and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the meat and vegetable mixture in the dish.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer and sprinkle with cheddar.
- Bake uncovered for about 25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
