  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/3 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 80 g powdered sugar
  • 90 g vegetable oil
  • Zest of one lemon
  • 30 g cornstarch
  • 180-200 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Sugar for rolling
  • Powdered sugar for rolling
  • Desiccated coconut for decorating
  • 80 g white chocolate

Method

  1. 1

    Mix egg yolks, salt, vanilla sugar, and powdered sugar.

    Add vegetable oil and lemon zest and mix everything.

  3. 3

    Stir in cornstarch, flour, and baking powder and form a kneadable dough.

    Shape small rolls from the dough, fold and braid them.

  5. 5

    Roll half of the cookies in sugar, the other half in powdered sugar.

  6. 6

    Bake the cookies at 180 °C for about 15 minutes.

    Let the cookies cool.

    Melt the white chocolate.

    Dip the cookie edges in chocolate and roll them in powdered sugar or desiccated coconut.
