Ingredients
- 4 large oranges (preferably organic)
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
Method
- Wash the oranges thoroughly and cut them into thin strips.
- In a pot, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar. Bring it to a boil.
- Add the orange peel strips into the pot and reduce the heat.
- Simmer the peels in the syrup for about 45 minutes to 1 hour until they become translucent.
- Remove the peels and place them on a rack to cool.
- Once cool, roll the orange peels in sugar to coat them.
