Ingredients

  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 30g mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • A pinch of crushed red pepper
  • A pinch of parsley
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Black sesame seeds for topping

Method

8 steps
  1. Add 1 cup quick oats and 1 cup milk to a bowl.
  2. Soak the oats for 5 minutes.
  3. Crack 2 eggs into the bowl and mix well.
  4. Add salt, black pepper, crushed red pepper, parsley, and mozzarella cheese; mix well.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-low heat.
  6. Pour the oat mixture into the pan and sprinkle black sesame seeds on top.
  7. Cook for 3-5 minutes until set.
  8. Flip and fry for another 2-3 minutes until cooked through.

Recipe notes

Helpful tips

  • Soak the oats in milk for 5 minutes before adding the eggs.
  • Use medium-low heat so the centre sets before the outside becomes too dark.
  • Flip only once the first side is firm enough to hold together.

Storage
